UWF MATCH LISTINGS PAGE........

6-23-00 ECW on TNN show.

-- The show starts off with Rob Van Dam and Fonzie cutting a promo. They are putting over the Los Angeles Heat Wave pay-per-view and saying how they will be great. He gives the “Whole F’n Show, blah blah blah” speech. Same as he usually does.

-- Next we cut to a clip of New Jack jumping off of a high balcony onto a table. Then New Jack cuts a promo about how ECW is gonna light it up in LA and how he feels sorry for who he fights at Heat Wave 2000. It sounds like there may be some cheap shots at XPW too if you really think about it. “You’ve seen imitators, you’ve seen duplicators…”

(The show now opens up.)

We are now in the ring with Joey Styles. Cyrus comes down and says shut everything off because there are not two commentators like the ECW/TNN contract says. Cyrus gives him a count of ten to find one and Joey chimes in “How about Gertner?” Gertner chases Cyrus out. Francine is next to join in the fun. Cyrus says he helped out Credible last week so it’s Francine’s turn to beat up Gertner. She gets in the ring to cut up Styles and Gertner. Gertner says he would never hit a woman… but Tommy Dreamer would. When Tommy walks out she begs for mercy saying she is alone and Credible isn’t there. The Queen of Extreme asks Dreamer to break his silence. Then Jazz comes out and nails Francine with the Jazz Stinger. She says Tommy doesn’t need to break his silence because everyone knows that Francine is a deutsche bag.

Chilly Willie –vs- Tony Mamaluke

Our first match of the night is a decent match between Danbury’s favorite son Chilly Willie and Tony. We see the tail end of the match as Chilly wins it. Little Guido runs-in after and attacks Chilly. All of a sudden Balls Mahoney is out taking everyone out. He beats on Sal until Guido sneaks in with a low blow. Balls in then pounded on by Sal, Tony Mamaluke, and Little Guido until Sinister Minister and Mikey Whipwreck (with a flaming club) make the save.

The show returns from commercial and we see Simon and his entourage. Musketeer and Mitch are playing around. “Too much singing and not enough Swinging,” says Swinger while Simon complains about everyone screwing up and making them a comedy act. A hot chick that’s with the Dangerous Alliance comes up and Swinger says “Look at those SWING things” Simon says those are two more freaks and he has a confrontation with C.W. Anderson that Swinger breaks up.

**SANDMAN AND DAWN MARIE RETURN IN CHICAGO TOMMOROW NIGHT AT THE TNN TAPINGS**

Clapping Scotty Anton and Cyrus are cutting a promo. Every time they clap they lights go on and off. They talk about how all of California has “The Clap”. Scotty speaks on his upcoming match with RVD. “The network and these hands are gold,” he says and he also claims RVD will get caught in the Clapper.

Tajiri –vs- Steve Corino w/ Victory

Here is tonight’s main event. Joel reminds us of how the network betrayed Tajiri. Cyrus comes out pretending to speak Japanese to Tajiri. He announces tonight’s special referee is going to be Jerry Lynn. Joey Styles brings up the fact that Jerry’s allegiances are unknown. The cameras catch Cyrus telling Corino that the match is “In the bag.” From the get go we start with Corino and Tajiri locking up and jockeying for position. Corino with a waist lock and Tajiri flips out of it. They break up and go to the corners working the crowds. They lock up again and this time Corino gets an arm wringer that is reversed into a hammerlock. Corino is snap marred and nips up. We then see the screen shrink like last week as ECW cracks a joke where they show a color code screen mocking last week’s football commercial during the show. We see a pinfall on Tajiri counted normal by Lynn. Tajiri hits his handspring elbow. Next is a hangman’s neck breaker and standing moonsault. Another consistent two count. Corino gets shoved to the floor. Steve is getting back onto the apron as Tajiri flips over and cracks him in the head with his own chair to the head. The King of Old School flies back out and is busted open. He works him on the outside for a while. Yoshihiro Tajiri re-enters the ring and brings a chair with him. Steve is hurting on the outside and is pulled back in. Tajiri bites the laceration in Corino’s head. He drives a knee to Corino’s head. Tajiri executes another snapmare as he sets the chair on Corino’s face. Now Tajiri is gonna set him in the tree of woe position. He steps on Corino’s crotch for a setup and puts a chair by his head. He runs from one end sliding with a vicious baseball slide. Now Tajiri has a table. A desperation body drop sends Tajiri through that table and Corino gets a two count. Steve gets in a few stomps and punches onto Tajiri. Yoshihiro tries for the handspring elbow but Corino is ready with a swift crack to the back with a chair. Steve Corino with a heel kick to Tajiri’s face. He does his own version of Dusty Rhodes’ bionic elbow for another long two count. A well-executed fisherman’s suplex can only get a two count. Tajiri fights back with a testicular claw then some crazy punches and kicks. He spits his green mist and misses Corino and hits Lynn. Tajiri locks Corino in his octopus stretch and Corino screams he quits. Lynn can’t see it. Lynn accidentally hits Tajiri and then Corino follows through with a superkick. Cyrus cleans Lynn with a towel. Jerry makes the three count and Steve Corino wins the match!

The final segment is supposed to be an interview with Rhino. They walk into his locker room and he says “Get the F*** outta here!!!!!” and that’s how we end the show for this week.
